medico-marketing / training/consultant in pharmaceutical company … what are the options ?
Dear Friends
I am an MBBS doctor working for a major Indian pharmaceutical company for last 5 years at a managerial position in medico-marketing and medical advisory role.
I am looking for change of job and options to work as consultant medical advisor or training consultant for pharma companies on freelance basis or at consultant position instead of full time.
I have an extensive experience of launching and handling many major brands in various therapeutic areas and communication skills apt for excellent sales training etc.
I am unable to procure much info on such options .
Can anybody suggest me if there are any opportunities as per my requirement and whom should I approach for the same.
May be some smaller organisations would consider a consultant as a better option than having someone on full time on-board.
I can work for medico-marketing/sales training/promotional inputs/presentaions etc.
Please help if you have any information on the same….

I would suggest you approach the manufacturers of the products you have represented. They might have openings for a direct sales representative within their own companies.
Also go to the sources you have supplied in the past and find out if they have inhouse sales opportunities.
Contacting the hospitals and nursing facilities in the area you want to work would be a good idea, also.
You might try starting your own company, using the sources you have already worked with in the past.
